18th December 2020
I write this letter to the sound of applause ringing out across the school as the children watch their Christmas production of a Magical Christmas Jigsaw. I want to say again how incredibly proud I am of all the children and the staff for what they have managed to achieve this year. Against all of the odds, they have managed to put together something amazing that will become a treasured memory. Thank you to all of the people who have sent in kind emails. I plan to put them together and send them out to staff. We will be in touch in the New Year to gather orders for DVD copies.
COVID Cases in the Christmas Break
Please can we ask that you continue to keep school informed of any cases of COVID within the household as we move through the Christmas break. The DFE have asked that we be prepared to contact families to inform them of any close contacts for 6 days following the closing of school today. You can inform us via email on firstname.lastname@example.org
Just a reminder that the School Streets project continues into the New Year. We have some special flashing wrist bands to give out to children who bike, scoot or walk to school.
Many of the children now play on an app called Among Us. A parent has informed us their child has experienced highly inappropriate language through the chat function that is built into this game and wanted other parents to be aware. In this case the chat function had been set to filter out such content but it still managed to get through.
I would like to wish you all the happiest of Christmases. You all deserve a special time to reconnect with love ones.
We are hoping that 2021 is a better year for everyone and we look forward to seeing the children back in school on Tuesday 5th January 2021.
