I am sure you will all now be aware of the fantastic news that schools will be reopening to all on March 8th. Having a quick initial scan of the guidance released yesterday evening, it would seem that the restrictions in place for schools on the pupils return will be the same as they were before Christmas; staggered start and ends to the day, no mixing of bubbles, increased hygiene etc. The only addition being the continuation of twice weekly Lateral Flow Testing for staff which started at the beginning of this term. Full information on reopening will be communicated in the coming days, but please start getting the uniforms dusted off.
Key Worker and Vulnerable Provision.
Please find the link below for any families requiring this provision for the week beginning 1st March. This will be the final week of this provision and the last time you will receive the link to collect information regarding the days you require. Thank you to all the families providing information to help us create priority groups for classes with a large number of pupils attending. We may still need to prioritise attendance in this final week and we continue to stress that this provision should only be requested when needed for you to work. The current restrictions remain in place until we reopen fully on March 8th.
A heart felt ‘Thank You’ to all of our families. This lockdown has been particularly challenging for so many of you. The staff and I are overwhelmed with the support you have given your children to facilitate Remote Learning against the odds and you should know that each activity completed will have been beneficial to their progress. Although we realise that there will continue to be restrictions in place for some time, there does seem to be a glimmer of hope that we will be able to resume normal school life increasingly through the year. For now we will put all of our focus on ensuring a successful return for all pupils.
Two weeks and counting!
