In 2025, our village church will be an incredible 800 years old! As you can imagine, such an old and beautiful building does take a considerable amount of funding to restore and keep in tip-top condition as the centre of the community and wonderful local resource.
One such programme of restorations are currently being undertaken and the Rev. Ball has organised a Big Sponsored Cycle Ride to try and raise some funds towards the current restoration project (details of which can be found at st-marys-church.org.uk/big-sponsored-cycle-ride/ ). He would really like us at school to help by joining in with the last leg of the route which runs on Saturday 2nd October at 4pm from Aire Street in Goole to our school on Garth Lane in Hook. On arrival at school there will be a celebratory treat for the participants!
If you think your child or your family could help by raising sponsorship and take part in the ride, please could you complete the attached Sign On form and return to us. We also attach a sponsorship form to help you begin to collect donations.
All the details can be found at http://st-marys-church.org.uk/big-sponsored-cycle-ride/ but if you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to let us know or contact the Rev. Ball on 01405 767721 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
