You may have noticed that communications from us have occasionally been sent by email since the return to school. This is because there has been a price hike in the cost of SMS text messages, and we have also had a restriction put in place as to how many SMS messages we can send. Unfortunately, these changes mean that SMS messaging to the level we have done before is no longer an effective or efficient method for us to use to communicate with you.
Instead of SMS, messages can, however, still be sent to the Scholarpack app, so we strongly recommend that you utilise this for the quick updates, reminders and links to letters (such as this one) that we send out.
An archive of letters sent out from school can also be found on our website here: https://hookprimary.co.uk/letters-to-parents/
If you would like help setting up the app, or would like a new Link-Up Code issuing, please let us know. It really is very easy to use and gives you access to your child’s profile that we hold at school, including attendance scores, contacts, perissions, medical info and extended info. You can also message the school regarding updates to information and absences without waiting for the school to open to call us.
Information about the app can be found here: https://hookprimary.co.uk/school-app/
We are aware of an issue with a small number of parents regaining access to the app after changing their handsets, and Scholarpack are working on a solution for this.
SMS messaging will be switched over to message by app by the end of this week.
If you have any queries about the above, please do not hesitate to contact us.
