Dear Parents,

We are contacting you today as parents of children in Year 6 to inform you of a few upcoming events and a resource to support Year 6 children in the lead up to SATS tests (9th May – 14th May).

Lexia Core 5

We understand how busy children are in school preparing for their upcoming SATS tests and we feel that this online resource will complement any revision the children are doing at home. Lexia provides a personalised package of activities suited to each individual child. It focuses on all elements of reading and it is recommended that children access it for 40 minutes a week. This can be spread over several days. The teaching staff will be able to monitor their progress through on online portal and pick up on areas the children are having repeated difficulties with.

The children’s log in details remain the same as last year, with the log in and password being the same as each other.

We hope you find the resource user friendly but please do not hesitate to get in touch if you are having any issues.

SATS club

Miss Yewman will be beginning a SATs before – school club, beginning Friday 24th March. These sessions will run between 8am – 9am. Children do not need to sign up to these but can attend on the weeks that suit them the most.

SATS Information Meeting

We will be holding a SATS information meeting for parents on Thursday 30th March 3.30pm – 4.00pm. Mr Stockdale will go through SATS week information and there will be time to ask any questions you may have.
