St Mary’s Church

A stone’s throw from our school is the beautiful parish church of St Mary’s, and we cherish the close relationship there. We regularly hold collaborative services and assemblies both in school and church. The staff aim to give the children the opportunities to develop their knowledge and understanding of Christianity and other major religions and to contribute to the development of their own beliefs and values. R.E. is taught both as a discrete subject and through a focus heading and reflects the ethos of the school. The R.E. curriculum is planned in accordance with the East Riding of Yorkshire Syllabus.

SIAMS Report – 2019

Staff, children and governors are delighted and proud to share the outcomes of our latest Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS). As a church school, we have this extra inspection every four years.

We are very excited to announce we gained an overall ‘Excellent’ outcome, being the highest grading possible. The full report can be viewed here.
